29 solos for unaccompanied bass viol, in standard tuning, arranged by Ian Gammie. Many of the tunes are found in braodside ballads of the 16th and early 17th centuries. The arrangements use a mixture of double stops and running divisions, in lyra style but using standard bass viol tuning. The tunes include John come kiss me now, Parthenia, Sellenger's Round, Packington's Pound, Tom a Bedlam, etc.
