Eight fantasia-suites by John Hingeston (ca. 1600-1683), each comprising a fantasia and an almande. Although the scoring is specified in the original parts as for two treble and two bass viols, Suites 2 & 3, and Fantasia 4 have bass I parts which are within the range of the tenor viol. First modern edition. Parts include Hingeston's own organ part: the organ is not required, but enhances the texture.
